BRANDON HUDSON

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

MECKLENBURG ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE

Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative (MEC) is holding its Annual Meeting of the Members on June 18 to elect directors to the board.  I am one of the directors up for re-election.  In April and May, MEC will be mailing proxy voting cards to each customer account.

I ask that you to vote for me by checking the box by my name, sign and date the reverse side of the proxy card, and mail it to MEC by early June.

HERE'S WHY I AM ASKING FOR YOUR VOTE:

EXPERIENCE and COMPETENCE:

I have served 20 years on the MEC board.  I have attended over 250 MEC board meetings and statewide electric cooperative events.  I have learned an enormous amount about the electricity industry, and I am still learning!  I have the expertise to make wise, long-term decisions that serve the best interests of our neighbors.

INDEPENDENCE and CURIOSITY:

In order to make top-notch decisions, directors must think for ourselves and be willing to ask questions.  The "buck stops with us" so owe it to you to be courageous and open-minded.  Only by considering all legitimate options will the best solutions emerge.

INTEGRITY:

I am on the board of directors to serve you.  I will continue to act with integrity, ethically, and in good faith.  I will continue to encourage transparency in our deliberations and decision-making, and I will promote a spirit of trust and collegiality.

ABOUT ME:

I was reared in the Virgilina community of Halifax County and continue to live here.  I am a product of the Halifax County public school system and am grateful for my degrees from the University of Virginia.  I have been a self-employed business owner for over twenty years.  I practice law in Virginia and North Carolina; my office is in the town of Halifax.  I'm active with St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Oxford.  Serving on the MEC board has been an honor and privilege; I feel fortunate to serve an organization that has such dedicated and extraordinary employees.  I love living in Southside Virginia and am proud to call it home.

THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
